Department of Statistics

History

The Department of Statistics was established in 1985 as the seventh department of the Faculty of Science at Ege University and started its undergraduate education in 1987-1988 academic year. Education - Teaching is carried out in English at least 30% of the courses. About 550 students in the department; 1 professor, 5 associate professor, 4 assistant professors, 2 lecturers and 4 research assistants. 

Students who successfully complete all the courses in the four-year education plan receive a bachelor's degree in Statistics and gains the title "Statistician". The Department of Statistics, together with other departments of the Faculty of Science, started to accept second curriculum students from the 2001-2002 academic year. Currently the second curriculum is not active

Masters's and Doctorate Degree Programs in Ege University, Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Department of Statistics, are conducted by the members of the Department.
